Lucille will so be missed with her wonderful smile and always cooking lots of great food for family and friends. One of my greatest memories is going to visit Lucille by greyhound bus for a weekend when she lived in Saratoga (or maybe Glens Falls..can't quite recall the town). I was about 12 years old and we had a wonderful weekend together. When it was time for me to leave she packed me a lunch for the ride home. I'll never forget the sandwich. It was on a rye and white swirl bread with ham and turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. It was one of the best sandwiches I ever had...and I think it's because of all the love that she poured into everything she did for everyone she knew. Something so simple, yet so memorable.
My heart goes out to Lucille and her children. This has been such a hard road for all of you. I can see her smiling down on all of you, so proud that you are her children. You all have incredible strength and indurance. I wish you happy memories and a wonderful future.
Love,
Diana
