Ann H. Umber, age 75, formerly of 3-5 Riverside Drive, Saranac Lake and Greenwood Apartments in Lake Placid died Monday, February 22, 2010 at AMC-Uihlein where she had been a resident since 2007.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on September 08, 1934, she was the daughter of George and Marion (Paye) Umber.
Ann worked in various capacities at the Cedar Post, Tysons and had managed the North Country Community College Cafeteria for 1 1/2 years. Ann was also a 1982 graduate of NCC with an Associate’s degree in Business Management. She had worked as a Monitor Technician at the Adirondack Medical Center of Saranac Lake for 9 years until her retirement in 1999.
She is survived by one sister Lois Umber of Saranac Lake, NY, one brother Richard Umber of Saranac Lake, NY, two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and her brother John Umber.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian Burial will take place in the spring. Burial will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery.
