Tod McAfee, age 76, of Onchiota, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at his home.
Born in Brockton, Massachusetts on April 19, 1942, he was the son of Gordon and Claire Louise (Ferguson) McAfee.
Tod attended the military academy in Vermont and had owned and operated a plumbing and heating business since 1975. He moved to Onchiota in 1992 coming from East Longmeadow, MA where he had been a member of the Masonic Lodge for many years. Tod was also a church organist for over 25 years including at the Adirondack Presbyterian Church in Lake Clear.
He is survived by his wife Barbara whom he married April 6, 1984 in Springfield, MA, his mother Claire Louise McAfee of Brockton, MA, three children Lyn, Jim and Jil McAfee all of Florida, two step children David Green of Shutesbury, MA, and Karen Robataille of East Longmeadow, MA, 7 Grandchildren and his three dogs Moose, Gretl, and Heidi. He was preceded in death by his father Gordon McAfee, and one brother.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm on Sunday July 22, 2018 at the Adirondack Presbyterian Church in Lake Clear with Rev. Joanne White officiating.
