Donald Tallman, 71, of Bloomingdale, NY died April 3, 2018.
Born in Malone, NY, on September 10, 1946, he was the son of Grace Paguin Tallman.
As a resident of Saranac Lake, Donald was employed as an aide by Sunmount DDSO in Tupper Lake. Don worked in various locations throughout his career, most recently in Saranac Lake. Donald served in the United States Navy from November 1963 until August 1967, aboard the carrier USS America (CVA-66).
Donald married Barbara “Tinker Bell” Bell at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake.
Donald is survived by his two sons: Christopher Tallman of Bloomingdale and Raymond Tallman of Saranac Lake. Three sisters: Chris Molberhill of Bombay, Deb McDuff of Malone, Beverly Honstead of Long Island, and one brother Billy Bova of Bloomingdale. Donald is also survived by four grandchildren: James, Helena, Olivia and Patricia all of Saranac Lake, and many nieces and nephews.
Donald was predeceased in death by his wife Barbara, his mother Grace, and four siblings: Linda Bumberger, Janet Simpson, Danny Tallman and Richard Tallman.
Donald’s family was his pride and joy and he could be found almost any time fishing on the many lakes, rivers and ponds throughout the North Country.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:00am on Tuesday April 10, 2018 at St. Bernard’s Church in Saranac Lake. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
