Kevin L. Symonds, Sr., age 60, of 14 Kiwassa Road, Saranac Lake, died Friday, November 03, 2017.
Born in Saranac Lake, New York on February 25, 1957, he was the son of Kenneth and Isabelle (Mosher) Symonds.
Kevin, married Lynne (Giddings) on February 28, 1976 in Saranac Lake. Kevin had been employed at Gendron’s Lumber in Saranac Lake for many years and later worked for ORDA at Whiteface Mountain. He volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed camping. He especially loved working on model cars.
He is survived by his wife Lynne of Saranac Lake, four children Kevin Symonds, Jr. of Saranac Lake, Travis Symonds of Saranac Lake, Tonya (Martin) Ward of Georgia, and Jonathan Symonds of Saranac Lake, He is also survived by his father Kenneth Symonds of Gloversville, three brothers, Ken (Billi Jo) Symonds of Rainbow Lake, Tuffield (Diane) Symonds of TN, and Robert Symonds of Massena, four sisters Shelia (Keith) Elsenbeck of Saranac Lake, Doris (Dan) Spencer of Ballston Spa, Gale Chavuin of Plattsburgh and Joan Blue of Saranac Lake and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Isabelle and one brother Stephen.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A celebration of his life will take place at funeral home on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. A time of sharing will take place at 4:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Union Cemetery in Vermontville at a later date.
