Helen Macey

Helen L. Macey, age 80, of Bloomingdale, NY, died Monday, October 17, 2016 at her home.

Born in Lake Placid, New York on October 26, 1935, she was the daughter of Roland and Elizabeth (Klien) Douglas. Helen married Raymond Macey on January 26, 1954 in Saranac Lake.

Helen had been employed at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake for over 30 years. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, crossword puzzles and gardening.

She is survived by her husband Raymond of Bloomingdale, two sons Robert (Laura) Macey of Saratoga, and Paul (Carole) Macey of Bloomingdale, two daughters Deborah (Richard) Taylor of Bloomingdale, and Teresa (Bruce) Wells of Barre, VT, one sister Mary Sanders, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, step father Joseph Marconi, two sisters Alice Bourquin, and Betty Coats and two brothers Joseph Marconi, Jr and Louis Marconi..

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home, with Rev. Patrick Ratigan officiating. Burial will immediately follow in North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid.
