Gerryl Willette

April 19, 1950 — March 14, 2016

Gerryl Philip Willette, age 65, of Bloomingdale, died Monday, March 14, 2016 after a long illness at his home surrounded by family.

GG was born in Saranac Lake, on April 19, 1950, to Addie M. (LaFountain) and Paul A. Willette.

GG graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1968, he married Alonna Oliver on November 27, 1971. He was employed by Graymont Quarries in Saranac Lake until his retirement. GG loved hunting, fishing, golf and being with his buddies and grandkids. His greatest achievement was the Blue Ribbon Award for Best Pop Pop ever. He will be missed by all those he knew and left behind. As GG always said “Toot-a-loo Cock-a-Roo see ya next shift.”

He is survived by his wife Alonna of Bloomingdale, two daughters Jennifer Coolidge of Killeen, TX and Stefanee Willette of Bloomingdale, 5 grandchildren Jarred and Makensee Coolidge of Texas, and Zachary, Alexis (Lulu) and Raiana Baumann of Bloomingdale, eleven brothers and sisters Darryl, Cheryl Fawcett, Karyl, Micheyl, Randyl, Kristyl, Dayl, Loweyl, Erryl, Kendyl and Russyl, in-laws Cindy Amell, Nancy Swinyer, Robin Shanty, Judy Heath, Sharalon Shatraw, Roger Oliver and Kim Woodruff, father and mother-in-law Donald and Cynthia Oliver and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother Royl, one son-in-law Shawn Coolidge and one brother-in-law Jamie Shanty.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. Funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family at a later date.

Friends wishing to remember Gerryl Philip Willette may make memorial contributions to the Saranac Lake Veterans of Foreign Wars or the Renal Dialysis Unit at the Adirondack Medical Center in care of the funeral home.
