Christopher Tuttle

Christopher K. Tuttle, age 43, of Saranac Lake, died Saturday, August 30, 2014.

Chris was born on December 13, 1970 and grew up in Kinderhook New York. He was the son of Jim and Nora (Veress) Tuttle. He married Heather Peckham on August 14, 1999 on the family farm in Kinderhook.

Chris was employed as the General Manager at High Peaks Ford in Ray Brook where he worked closely with Cory Egglefield, Howard Peckham, Sr. and all the staff for the past 2 years. Prior to that he worked for Enterprise Rent A Car for 8 years, and The Mirror Lake Inn for 5 years. Chris received a BS from Paul Smith's College in 2000. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1991 to 1995. He was stationed at McCord AFB near Seattle but did numerous six month tours of duty around the world in locations ranging from Karachi to Sarajevo, South Korea to North Africa to Haiti. Chris is a past member of the Saranac Lake Fish and Game Club, Tri-Lakes Cruisers, and a long time member of the Old Chatham Hunt Club. In his spare time, he was an avid fly fisherman on the rivers and lakes of the Adirondacks.

He is survived by his wife Heather Tuttle of Saranac Lake and four children, Joey Todd Burnah, Jr. of Portland, OR, and Brooke Anne, Garrett Edward and Mitchell James Tuttle all of Saranac Lake, his father and mother Jim and Nora Tuttle of Kinderhook, NY, his grandmother Faity Tuttle of Kinderhook, NY, two brothers Ben Tuttle and his wife Sally of Glen Gardner, NJ, and Tom Tuttle and his wife Mila of New York City; as well as several cousins, nephews, nieces, and in-laws.

Calling hours will take place at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Bernard's in Saranac Lake on Thursday September 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Father Thomas Higman officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Tuttle family cemetery in Kinderhook, NY.
