Ola Trudeau

April 13, 1925 — August 16, 2012

TUPPER LAKE – Ola Marie Trudeau, 87, went to be with the Lord on Thursday August 16th, 2012.

Born in Belding, Michigan on April 13th, 1925, Ola was the daughter of Ruth Johnson and Ferris Oberlin. She married Gordon E. Trudeau who preceded her death in 2005; they were married for 58 years. She was also preceded by her parents and her sisters, Elaine and Helen.

Ola was a full time homemaker and stay-at-home mom. She had a devout faith in God and allowed this to lead her life. Ola described her bible and hymnbooks as her most treasured possessions. She lived her life faithfully and to the fullest each day; her motto was “life is what you make it”. No matter what the trial, Ola was able to go through it with a smile and the knowledge that it would all work out in the end. She once wrote “My hope is in God who never fails or leaves me. He has all the answers”. Ola believed and lived this to her very last day.

Ola is survived by her daughters: Linda Zavadil, Sandi Norton Livecchi, Cathy Trudeau, and Mary Jane Rowell. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Lindsay Trudeau, Rebecca Zavadil, Tiffany Carson, and Charles Carson.

Calling hours will take place at the Stuart-Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Tupper Lake on Monday August 20, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Rick Wilburn officiating.
